When We Are Closed

Between 08:00- 08:30 and 18:00 – 18:30 when the practice is closed, patients should dial the practice for the number for the out of hours service.

From 18:30 onwards all patients should dial 111 for medical advice. All calls are free from landlines & mobile phones.

NHS 111 is a national service that aims to make it easier for people to access healthcare services when they need medical help fast, but it's not a life-threatening situation. NHS 111 will assess your symptoms and offer you advice and if required refer you to the out of hours on call doctor in the locality.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
